  • Fitting 401-9524

For some time i have had problems with my gyro (jr420) and tail servo (jr820g). Anyway it seems that the gyro was burning out the servo (tried 3 servo,s). So i have ordered what most see as the favourite combo, Futaba 401/9524 as everything else is Futaba 35mHz. Question is can i just fit new combo or will i need to set up again? Richard

Obviously you will have to setup the gyro and tail servo, but you wont need to change anything else.

Just remember to check your centre of gravity after fitting the new servo as you might find the heli is a bit tail heavy and you will have to move your battery to compensate for it.

The 401 is very easy to setup, just follow the instructions.

Hi richard, good decision going for the 401/9254 combo, there a decent setup. One thing to remember is not to run very high gains with this servo because it will fry it.Just get it to where it's just going to wag and then that's enough.Don't ask me how I found this out!!
