  • Help with gain trim please

    Hi all,
Any advice on setting up the gain trim (HB CP2) would be appreciated. I'm new and just getting a few wobbly hovers together in the garden after some sim time. I really need to have the tail towards me at this stage.
I've set the proportional to make it stable at centre trim but with some stick inputs the tail kicks round about 90 degrees (clockwise from above). Any tweaks to the gain seem to affect the proportional setting. There are none of the fast or slow wobbles mentioned in the manual.
Is there a correct procedure, another problem or is it just pilot error?
    Many thanks,
    Herbie

I'm not familier with this gyro or heli so I don't know if it's a heading hold gyro or not. But for both the HH gyro's I've had I started with about 55% gain in the TX on the gear channel and then just kept increasing it until I got the fast 'happy dogs tail' wag then backed it of a bit at a time until the wag disappeared. It may just be that your gain setting is too low and the gyro is not really working to control the tail yet.

Someone will be along soon I expect with direct experiance of these helis to offer some sage advice.

      Thanks Martyn.
I have no setting control on the Tx, only Rx with the standard ready to fly kit. As you say, I'm sure someone with the same kit will have the answer.
