  • Buying a SIM and a radio.. which one???

    Hi,
I am thinking of buying a 'good' (one that will last me a while) radio and a SIM.

My thinking is that I can keep the radio as I upgrade my helis.

Anyone have any recommendations about which radio to buy

Is my idea a good one?

    Hi
Transmitter Futaba 7c is around 110pounds. Or look at the Futaba
    F9 for 280ish.

phoenix Sim is meant to be a good buy at 80pounds

    or Reflex is 120ish

7c, 9c or JR PCM 9x are all good radios.

Another vote for a Futaba 7C.

Easy to program and loads of functions for the money. If you can afford it the 9C is even better.

        Cheers

I vote 9c personally. Never had an issue with all the Futaba sets I've had.

Worth thinking about too, if you are in a club, its not a bad idea to get the brand/make that is generally in use there, as it helps with buddy leads and help in programming the set too...

Pot luck. Ask them why would they are selling a relatively new radio? Its either knackered, nicked, they upgraded or are bored and selling everything. The first 2 are probably no-nos...

Try and establish which it is, and make your decision.
