  • 450 nitro or 450 elec??

    which would be better for a beginner? are the 450 nitro's any good? anyone know of one up for grabs?

    Stick with the leccy ones the only 450 nitro kit i know of is the zoom which i did have for a short period of time. It was under powered and run times no longer than leccy's and bloody noisy plus getting spares could be a problem.

      If it's a 450 you want ...............Electric is the way .........if your thinking of Nitro .......a 50 size is your best option

          I agree, tho Century do a 450 size nitro as well, but apparently its quite tempermental in its engine settings.

            Flog that man !!! .. akk the C word ... its called the century kestrel ... personally .... 450 elec and 30+ size nitro .. .but thats just me and everyone is different .. I sold me elecs last year as enjoy flying my nitros way too much ...

              got a nice gl450 forsale as you know from our pm ;0)

              go 450 size electric or 30/50 size nitro (raptor/trex600) and you cant go wrong

                    I saw a guy flying a 450 sized nitro at our club once.. what a performance... sounded like a mad bee flying... small nitro engines are really had to tune and maintain that level of tune for long....

                    Electric... Plug and Play.. works for me... plus you can have a couple of flights anywhere really.. with out anyone knowing you are even there

                        In 450 size electric is the way to go.
                        3 cell batterys are pretty cheap and a small engine will be harder to setup than a larger one.

                        On a larger heli nitro may be better as your not paying for expensive batterys but on a 450 you should go with electric power.

                          ok people looks like i'll stick with elec, anyone know of any t rex 450 bits on offer cheap?
                          or anyone got a 450 up for grabs cheap as poss, i have a 450xl but is verry ill(guy saw me coming lol)
