Mike
what is the charger and heli?
I have seen a Dragon fly 3D thingy and the guy was using the charger
it came with to charge the Li-po.. ITS A NICAD CHARGER!!!!
Lucky he didnt lose his house... We had the battery destroyed it was
looking Balloony and wasn't worth the risk.
Guys becarefull of this kind of thing don't asume the Charger with small
Helis does charge the batteries correctly....
I have seen this a number of times before, the latest one was just last week were someone with a Twister Bell 47 was charging their packs with an Align mains charger/balancer. The problem there was the batteries are rated at 800mah and the charger was charging at a minimum of 1000mah.
Li-po's will happily discharge at many times their C rating, but most can only be charged at 1C, meaning the most these little twister packs could be charged at is 800mah.
This meant that these packs were being over charged at 1.25C which is what caused them to become damaged.
Cheers,
Pete.
