  • 35mHz to 2.4 ? DX6i/DX7

Hi., I,m running futaba 35mHz, but everyone in the club i have just joined are DX7 and up and of course they seem to be popular here. Everything in my Heli is Futaba except the Gyro JR G420T. The question is if i change (DX6i/DX7) what else do i need to change in heli apart from rx ? Richard

what 35mhz set is it ?? .. if its the FF7 .. then personally I would stick with futaba and go FF7 2.4ghz as you will be used to the menus ... But if you do decide to change to spekky then its just TX/RX change ... nothing else ...

Why not get the Futaba 7cap 2.4ghz ? (you don't have to have specktrum)

But yes all you need is the tranny and then receivers and re-set the helis up

Thanks for fast reply Guys ! Got a T6EXP at the moment . Its just that I.m being taught via "buddy lead" at the moment and with everyone else on spektrum i thought a change might be in order. Richard

ahh .. then I would go with spekky then as its what the others will know to program .. Personally I like futaba .. .. Dont think some clubs allow the dx6 as its loose batteries in there ....if your flying nitro tho I would go with a 7 channel TX now instead of buying one in the future ...spekky has the added bonus the Rx's are cheaper .. but futaba seem to be a little bit better made .. horses for courses .. your choice at the end of the day

Thanks Mike, Yes i like the Futaba. One of the Guys has an old one which is being used for the buddy system. I may well wait untill i can get past the "buddy" stage because i think the FF7 would then be my choice, Thanks Richard

The price of Futaba Rx's is outrageous.

Go Spektrum, you won't look back!
