Raptor 30 - ....help me choose please

Well,

I've now seen one for real... I think they are fantastic! however i've found 2
1st one:
they want £375 and it's got the following

futaba rx... with 901 srevos? all round
carbon blades
TT39 engine
zimmerman tuned silencer
csm heading hold gyro (601???)
on board battery monitor
2000 battery pack

no chargers, starter kit or owt seems rich...

but very local to me..

2nd one

in milton keynes!! but only £275. ono

The first one seems overpriced,but does it come with a transmitter?

It does not say which CSM gyro it is,they make several at varying prices,its not a 601 as thats Futaba.

The Thunder Tiger 39 engine is not as nice as the OS 32

Are they V1 or V2 Raptors..

The V2 has some nice improvements over the V1


The other one appears Ok but it really is a minefield buying used


You must seek help from a local heli flier who can check it out for you

Ditto to the first one, for £450 you can get a good second hand Raptor 50 (For Eg. Item 30018918067 on eBay, Hirobo 50 sized with JR9x (very good Radio) for £500), people do seem to have some funny ides of what things are worth - when you say local, how local - Witley? - know a bloke who seems to deal in cut and shut helis

What sort of budget are you on? you could always put a wanted as on the BMFA - do you still have someone who can check stuff over for you?.

I thought I saw a Rappy 50 in SMC this week second hand but I could be wrong?

the "expensive one" is in S.M.C... no radio with it... real nice condition tho..

will check out ebay and see what pops up. I reckon I've got 250 for a set p with no tx and maybe £325 with, there seem to be one or two around at that price..

Ah, I thought that was a 50 not a 30

I've got a Nexus sitting on the floor here ready to go that I keep meaning to sell, nowhere near as good as Rappy but it does fly, might need a new Rx pack though as I've not touched it for a year...it's a bit dusty as well

I just sold a Shuttle (Belt start version) With a challenger 5 Tranny and
flight box, mech gyro flight box. I bought it for 35 pounds and sold it
on ebay 5 days later no reserve started at 50 pounds sold for 215 pounds.

Now why cannot I have 4 of them a week
