    Welcome to the forum!

From what you know already, or have read, are you looking at sticking with a smallish electric heli, or possibly a Nitro powered one?

I would highly recommend you find a local flying club near to where you live and pay them a visit. If you find a prodminantly heli club, you will likely find a huge array of different makes and models.

      Hi and welcome,

its personal preferance but id go with an Align T-Rex mate, 450 or 500, and if you have a decent spec pc then a simulator also and spend ALOT of hours on the sim.

Welcome to the forum. A couple of good tips to start.
          1. Find a local club and join
          2. Find out what most others fly and what radio gear they use (they can help you det it up
          3. make sure you join a BMFA affiliated club and get the public liability insurance
          4. work out a budget of what you can afford, deciding if you want to go Nitro or Electric.
          5. most of all Enjoy yourself.

Knowing what i know now, if i was starting out and going the electric route, i would go for the Trex 500. The 450 is a great machine and readily available 2nd hand, but the extra size of the 500 makes it much more easy to handle.

It all comes down to money i'm afraid. The old addage... you get what you pay for!

do remember tho that repair costs will be more for the 500 than the 450

good luck with whatever you choose m8

edit: thats a good little lot to get you started (mtaylor698's trex 450)

but as the others have rightly stated, this is a lighter heli and would need very little or no wind for a biginer to fly outside
