  • Charging 12V Cell

Will a Schulze Chamaleon isl 6-330d charge a 12v starting battery from a thunder tiger carry master or is this not it's intended use? I have the additonal mains power supply for the chamaleon.

    Still have much to learn

'The Schulze isl6-330d dual output charger is an extremely powerful charger capable of charging large Nicad, Lead-Acid, Nimh (up to 30 cells)'

So looks like it will, at the price of this charger I thought it would, look in the book of words and set to Pb or lead acid, not sure what they call this type of battery, having said that what type of battery is it ?? !!

Found it is a sealed lead acid (DryFit) battery so the setting should be Pb and set for a 1/10 of the capacity if the manual for the TT carry master don't tell you to be on the safe side.

I use a Schulze Chamaleon to charge my lead acid/gel cell batteries using a ProPeak 20a power suply - works well even though schulze say only to use it from a battery. Just remember that if you charge a 12v lead battery set the charger to 6 cell.
