it will do the book on 811s. it just wont be as crisp and accurate as it would be on higher speed coreless digitals.

Well, I set up the 3152s today and WOW - what a difference. I have been reducing the expo on my T7c and was at zero on my old 148s. Now it is so much crisper and responsive. I had a really good day once I had got used to how quick everything moved. I did my first nose in landing, first nose in takeoff and - the biggy for me - my first proper auto from about 100 feet.
It was VERY scary. The headspeed just disappears when you really want it i.e. when you flare and bring the tail round
On the down side, I flew my Trex as well. Had a several major glitches and very nearly lost it -Twice. I may lose the carbon boom and put the ali one back on. Anyone any other ideas I can try? I'm getting a bit cheesed off with it.
      Regards, a still very happy
      Cheers, Lee.

But I've only just bought it!!

Schluze Alpha PPM. I moved everything about after my last thread. One of the guys suggested I go for a different channel. I'm on ch 77 ATM but the mid to high 80s are clear so I was thinking of trying that as well maybe.
I quite like the little Trex as it's so portable but I just don't trust it

I tried everything to get rid of the glitches, new RX, new ESC, putting the ESC under the gear to keep it cool, moving the RX all over the place and the only way I managed to stop them was to sell it

It also sounds like you are doing far too much flying - so far in August I have not even managed to empty one pot of fuel

... done about 1000 litres of diesel though

Thomas - you'll wear that poor boat out

Sadly, I don't "work from home". I have a week and a bit off to fix some decorating issues in the lounge (I drilled through a central heating pipe in the room above )

Handily enough, the flying field is open from 12 til 2000. So it's decorating in the morning and flying in the afternoon and everyones happy. Marvellous

Am thinking of getting shares in Magnum though - going through like it's going out of fashion

It's a great shame about the T-Rex. It didn't glitch when I first got it. Probably because I was hovering about in front of me. Now I am flying it a bit further away it glitches. Sometime little ones but yesterday was two big ones! The only other thing I can think of is that I had my mobile phone on in my pocket at the time. I may try again with that switched off

                Regards,
                Cheers, Lee.

.... and you'll wear out that poor heli

I got a bollocking for having my phone in my pocket while flying - from Daren!! but it never caused me a problem before I knew not to to it.

Seriously though, if you are running a Schulze you should be ok - bung the ESC on the side frame under the main gear (to keep it cool) and keep the RX away from it, and any other big red wires. You could also try a ferrite ring on the BEC wire either near the ESC or the RX, not sure which is best.

I had a similar problem, it was fine hovering but as soon as I was brave enough to inverted it glitched (well that's my story and I'm sticking to it ) - problem was my ESC was in the canopy away from moving air - doh - I moved it all about and it was fine till the swash fell apart, I then got the hump and it went the same way as the Knight.

I think the quality of the ESC has a lot to do with it, I have a 40amp Jazz in my Eolo and it has never glitched in 60 odd flights.

Spray some Mr Sheen on the belt see if that helps also check all your bearings are absolutely 100% smooth no roughness at all particularly the main ones

                      Thanks for the advice Guys.
I have a ferrite ring on the BEC / throttle lead but have moved it closer to the rx. I have also moved the aerial as it was running down the side of the CF frame to the front skid support. I have now routed it toward the rear first. Now to test it... when it's not raining

The bearings have been replaced recently and I spray the belt with WD40. I haven't tried Mr Sheen yet but maybe will tomorrow when I do some testing.

                      Regards,
                      Cheers, Lee.

As long as you checked those shitty Align bearings before you fitted them they may not be the problem
