  • New Honeybee CP2 has a wobbly head.

Got out my new heli and proceeded to check it was all balanced out using the guide on the net about balancing a blade CP. Found some problems with the tracking of the blades. No matter how much i change the linkage lengths I cannot get them to track properly. Started to see how the screw at the top of the head was moving and it was wobbling below lift off speed. So it looks like I have a bent main shaft but how can i tell that the wobbling is only a low speed phenomenon?

it could be that your tracking adjustment has given it too much pitch which then messes eveything up.

get a set of cheap vernier calipers and get the pairs of links the same. that should get you in the right ball park.

Thanks. I was heading to do that first after I balanced the blades. Can i assume the tracking on the blades should be the same at any throttle? I also should mention that when I got my first pack charged the tracking was way off. And the the head sticks somewhat when I move the cyclic stick. I have found a few articles about a fix which I will bash through but my gut tells me that I will be taking apart the CP2 before I get the chance to use the RADD guide.
