    Your right Ade.

I should have added that the QUK stuff is not really required.

    Cheers

I used the QUK swash plate and guide and it was a VAST improvement over the standard one.

        Not sure about the rest.

        Cheers

Good job I don't know what QUK is!!!

I've had the heli idling nicer, but only with the power to the glow plug switched on. The moment I take the glow power away the engine stalls.

I'm using GN-10 fuel - could it be the fuel?

Change the glow plug, get an OS 8 or Enya 3,it could also be rich at the low end but sounds like a duff plug..

To roughly check the low end setting get the engine idling and rev it up a bit to clear excess fuel or starve it of fuel and start it back up.Pinch the puel line about an inch from the carb and observe what happens..

Speeds up suddenly and cuts...Too lean

Runs for about 2 seconds, speeds up and cuts...about right

Runs much over 2 seconds....Too rich

This is a rough starting point

                Carver,

i have seen this before, and even been down this road myself. its a great challenge to get something flying on your own but unless you know exactly what your doing its also a very risky road.

these machines are have killed people and require respect.

i did some damage to myself recently with a plane.

im not suggesting i do it all for you, I will just be around to make sure its done correctly and safely. Wont cost you much either.

I purchased an Enya 3 glow plug and now all is well.
                  Thanks for the tip Raptor50luvver.
