    Hello,

I have just bought a new heli (King 2), previously had mico heli - toy). Somehow I managed with assembly the blades, but with next step (setup) I am not able to get over.

As I said, I did blade tracking (first time, so it may be not 100% proprly done), but.. when I try to take off the heli (slowly) it starts rotating anticlockwise with its back (vertical fin) still on the ground (so it tries to make a circle with vertical fin as the middle of the circle).

I try to conteract by trim or the runder stic, but it does not help.

    How to fix it?

Does anyone knows if there is any club in (or around) Coventry so I could go and get a help with setting it up?

    Thanks

Dunno about clubs in your area, but it might help if you move the battery a bit further forward, sounds like the Centre of gravity is too far to the rear. Though it would be better if you took it back to where you bought it, or find a model shop that can set it up for you. Hope this helps

Welcome to HeliAddicts if you centre trim then check if tail slider is centre if not just check that tail servo horn is virtical if so move servo on boom to centre tail slider.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

I have just run my heli few times again and I might by wrong, but... My thoughts are: until the vertical fin is still on the ground - gyro or even tail slider can not do much, so probably I have incorrectly assembled the main blades. Can you point me any video or a good guide how to set the main blades properly?
          Thank you.

I did a bit of work on this you all suggested:

                  - moved the battery full to the top, but GC is still fare backward (maybe a bigger battery would fix it better). Could it be a reason to send it back to the seller and request fixing this?

                  - I have also played with the tail (and servo horn) and it helped again a bit with the turning to left (as by rudder),

                  - probably I also will buy HH gyro soon.

                  Thanks for this.

I have still a problem with side moving to the left (as by aileron)… How to solve it?

                        Rad,

Welcome mate, if the heli's not picking it's tail up then as the others have said it's likely to be an issue with the centre of gravity.

There's an easy way to check this, fit the battery (but don't plug it in) and pop the canopy on, now using only the rotor head, pick the heli up.

Try to align either the main blades or flybar at 90 degrees to the heli and support it using two fingers underneath the parts at 90 degrees. That way the heli can swing freely about the head and whichever end is heaviest will swing lower than the other side. You can now adjust the position of the battery to get the heli as level as possible.

Once you've done that make a mental note of the battery position and use that in the future.

I'd also want to check that your swashplate is level at neutral control, as if the heli is picking up nose first then that could be a contributing factor, I won't go into adjusting it just yet but, just give it a simple looking at to see that it's level.

Heli's will veer to the side when taking off, that's due to the thrust from the tail rotor introducing some sideways movement, to counteract this the heli will actually lean slightly to the side in a perfectly motionless hover. It takes some getting used to initially but as it lifts into the hover the heli will move in one direction, simply counteract it with some opposite aileron. This can't be trimmed out and is just a characteristic of rotary flight (even full size heli's do it) so simply get used to holding the rotors slightly off level when in the hover.

                        Enjoy,

                        Andy

Ive drawn a line on my batterys that lines up with the front of the frame so that I can position the battery in the correct place to the the heli to ballance on the flybar.

On my heli the batterys have to be hanging out of the front a bit to get the ballance correct.

I have just found out, that one of servos driving the swashplate is faulty - so thats may be one of the reasons.
