    Hi,
I am a newcomer to this hobby, even through I am no spring chicken,
My son as bought me a CX and a MCX, the CX, even though a small helicopter is to large for the largest room in the house, hence the reason why my son bought me the MCX which is just small enough for the room.
Over the last two weeks I have just managed to hover even though not very steady more of a oval, I need a larger room.
Do's anyody know of a indoor flying club in the SALFORD/MANCHESTER area
where I could take the CX
    Many Thanks

Sorry, not in that area. Welcome to the forum, though.

Welcome to the forum. You have taken a similar route into helis to me.

Check the clubs page on the BMFA web site by clicking here.

        Hi,welcome to the forum.

There is an indoor event in rochdale every month which is run by the bmfa, not sure if it's for heli's,you'll have to check.

Also I met a guy who fly's heli's at a indoor club who's from the rawtensall area, haven't got his number but I do know that his lhs is in rawtensall so they would have the details.

So much to learn which way to go next

Yes is definitely the place to be for help and advice, talking about advice which is the best way to operate the two leavers on the TX, between finger and thumb or the just the thumb?, I may as well start the right way.

It's very much a personal thing. There was a poll on here recently, and IIRC, it was about 50/50. So just go with whatever's comfortable.

Hello and welcome to a great forum..

I agree with Brian, it's a personal preference..

I am a beginner myself and been using my thumbs on the sticks (what came natural to me), however, i tried the between thumb and finger and it was not very comfortable for me, however i found it a bit more comfortable when i used a Tx tray as you can rest your hands on it without having the load of holding the Tx.

Now i use thumbs with a neck strap (best of both for me)
