  • Thinking of going 2.4 ?

Hi, Im running Futaba6exp 35mhz (2700mHa battery) at the moment and using it to run my heli (rappy30v2) and various planks (brushed and brushless). I am considering changing to 2.4, would i still be able to use my 2700 battery in the new transmitter ? As i,m doing this mainly for the heli, is it worth upgrading (rx) my planks as well ? Richard

I changed my planes over to 2.4 as well and aint looked back ... Least if I crash now its either me or a component failure .. Better than having a glitch and radio lock out .. You off spekky or futaba ? .. Speeky has it on the price of the Rx's and amount of them .. I am a die hard futaba man so stuck with a 2.4ghz FF 7

you should be able to use it in a futaba 7cap or the futaba 6exa 2.4ghz versions no problems

6 channel or 7 ?.. I love my FF7 and for the little extra it costs over the 6ex its a whole lot of Tx ... TBH go with what you want to .. If you already know how to program your 6 then stick with one of those .. But for the little it takes to convert over the screens alot nicer and a few more menus as well ..

I was thinking 6. But i see what you mean about the 7, the one without servos looks worth its money compared to the 6, decisions, decisions. No brainer really! i think the 7 is the one! Pity the rx,s are so dear when you would like to upgrade all your models. Richard

I did have all my models with Rx's in.. but seeing as I only ever take 2 helis and maybe a plane now and again I can always just swap a Rx about my planes and keep my heli's complete ...Have to admit that I do like the Rx's over spekky offerings .. only downside is the price of them and wish they would sell some 4/5channel ones

Been hearing this for a while Mark and tbh i aint holding my breathe lol... As long as they pretty cheap then me is happy as it stops me running a 7 channel Rx in my planes lol...
