Just a general over view etc as there's not a huge amount of info on skyline's website. Couple of things tho, in your opinion is the metal tail version worth the extra and what about the carbon frames ?
Think I remember seeing a review in rotor world or MHW a while back so will have a dig around in the cupboard

the metal tail is nice but i have not really seen the need for it. mine is the plastic tail and has held up to crashe very nicely. Its a case of if you like the look of it then buy it!
Running metal frames on mine. The weight saving isnt much. Some say that carbon frames will break and be seen to be broken where metal can bend and not be noticed. Not had that issue with metal frames.
anything else?

i have done a few minor modifications. nothing major and mostly to make it suit my flying style rather than anything to do with reliability unlike other helis, especially the raptor which in stock form wears some parts out very quickly.

The Knight is a very good machine and worthy of your cash, but the Raptor is also a very good helicopter that performs well in standard form,i know it has lots of plastic but i do not have a problem with that at all,its very easy to work on and everybody has parts for them and its well known at many clubs.
The Knight is definitely an up and coming model though
My oldest Raptor is 3 years and has done about 50 hours, all bearings are original,it has had many new parts due to crashes but all brgs are original but they do now need replacing which will be a job for the winter.
Tail assy is good, head parts dont wear that fast as its all ballraced...
You can expect many.many trouble free hours from a bog standard Raptor..
Just read the MHW review from last september, have to say it does sound a very sorted machine and it has a driven tail, does the titan have this ? The only small problem they had was how the fan fitted and it needed balancing. Have you had any problems with this Ade ?

At the risk of being lynched. I cant comment on the MHW machine. A local bought it. It had issues that were nothing to do with the manufacturer or supplier and thats all im saying about it. I will not be buying a copy of MHW anytime soon thats for sure.
My heli is smooth and accurate without the need for dial gauging or balancing of any component. They have also change the design of the fan hub to a screw on one like the raptor.
The only issue i had with the old fan hub was there needed to be a chamfer on the bottom of the fan to clear the chamfer on the crank. 2 min job with a drill but as I said new models come with the screw on fan hub.
One of the things that a lot of people miss on all helis is the pinion and its bearing. What happens is the pinion spins in the bearing and it wears the pinion our. All helis are capable of doing it. Its all in using red loctite on the bearing/pinion and getting the engine alignment.
i am working on a knight information thingy. But its hard to point out the things that are worth sorting without people think its a bad machine.

Thanks again for the reply Ade. MHW did point out that it was one of the first machines of the production line & as we all know most new models have some areas that need a little changing and you only have to look at the automotive industry to see this, anyone remember the first productin run of the landrover discovery ?? Anyhow I'll certainly be giving it some consideration and I know it can cope well after watching your video. Also a knight info thingy would certainly be of great use as there is very little around about it, perhaps this is why it isn't quite as well known. So what with contemplating buying a 50 size you now see why I didn't want to speed a huge amount on a zagi !!
only on the pinion. I think its due to the metal its make of. Never had a problem with wearing mainshafts. Although MA do say you must use red loctite on the tail shafts of the Fury etc.
