Calling All T-Rex owners

Hi All,


I’ve finally got my hands on a T-Rex 450 with transmitter £300
Can you check out the speck? Is there any thing I glaringly need to replace?
Also what spare parts are most likely going to be required if I crash?
I know the Transmitter is only six channel but that’s what came with it so I’ll have to make do until xmass.

Align 2800kv Brushless motor with heatsink.
Align 25A Esc.
Align Full alloy swashplate.
All align servos.
Align 6 channel reciever
Hardened main gear.
Lipo saver alarm.
Upgrade XL head and blade grips.
Align 315 PRO wooden blades.
Blue bump resistant under carriage
1 1800mah align lipo, 1 2100mah align lipo, 1 2200mah lipo. all in good condition.
Ark balancing charger with variable current charging.

Hi,

Transmitter is a good one, you wont need to change it. I think you'll find
its 7 channel not 6. Also if it has the jog dial on the right near the screen
its the 7c and unless you go scale it will be fine for everything you need.
Only reason for 8+ channels are mostly scale stuff that needs retracts
or other moving extra parts.

Main Blades, Boom, Tail fins are the 1st things you'll probably kill.

Not a bad buy spec wise either. As long as the batterys are good then
you have a good bit of kit.


Find a indoor Club and go get it set up or help learning to fly it!

Also get BMFA insurnace as the T-rex can Bite and it will hurt.

Sounds like a good buy.

I had problems with the Align reciever... kept the servos chattering so replaced it with a Futaba. The Align servos aren't the best.. As soon as they go replace them with something better.

With transmitter aint bad at all

Be aware, that the ESC is shakey- especially govenor mode. The reciever isn't good and the align servos are pants. But be ware of the ESC

But you'll be fine and the rest of the stuff is fine. All in all I think you did well
