It's worth checking out Hobbycity.com for cheap Zippy batteries and possibly a cheap charger such as the GT A6 (depending on how much the exchange rate has affected the prices since I bought mine last year).

Personally I'd want at least 4 batteries if possible.

i just put a battery through my 500,maybe i'm getting old but it seems to get small real quick...time to put that servo back in the 600n.The 500 is less to worry about price wise whilst flying though......i think.Have fun with the build

I started flying with nitro and no sims so my learning curve was hampered by nervousness and the inevitable dumb thumbs and time wasting re-builds. I have always flown alone and although sociable quite like the solitude. I class not flying/charging as wasted time. This however didn't stop me changing to all electric and the dreaded "downtime". In my experience you can't have enough battery's, lipo's are good but you can't land and charge they need to rest or cool down so you need plenty. My solution was A123 battery's which can be charged in 15mins if your charger is up to it and 5 packs which still isn't enough.
My only advice to you is it sound's great to fly a bit talk a bit, but the talk a bit will end up being the biggest portion of your visit if you don't have plenty of battery's. On the bright side I love my electric heli's and my logo 10's fly great in the wind.
