got the shell built up... parts need adding now will start on that at the end of april looking forward to flying this .... well when i say flying i mean hovering it LOL

How much did it cost in the end? and where did you get it?

Ive looked at buying one of these myself, something I can abuse before I buy a "propper" heli.

I got it from here HK-450 CCPM 3D Electric Helicopter Kit
The kit cost $35.95 about 26ish pounds but for quick and secure postage it came to about $71 i think that converted to £51 & some thing pence.

boom and chassis are aluminum.
tail and head are plastic and it comes with no manual... but its a direct copy of the trex 450 s v1 and you can download that. and spares you just use trex 450 parts


the postage is done on a max Weight limit and this kit does not fill that. so if you need other parts as long as they come under the max Weight limit the postage stays the same.

the HK450 is a great little heli but needs upgrades to fly it safe, as in all metal gears in the tail. and checking on the theads of most parts for theading.

great heli to learn on and when i had a bad crash with it did not mind, i am using a copter-x clone now all metal head and tail plus carbon body, flys very solid. need a better pinion in it but can live with the head speed as is for the moment. the gear in my heli profile of the copter-x is what was in the hk450.

the copter-x clone i got is the same price as the hk-450 but where the hk-450 is plastic head tail and ally body the copter-x is miles better for the same price
