  • It's official, I can fly...

Maidened the T500 today. I'd had a few tries in the back garden but it just wasn't really happening so I went to my local football pitches and found a quiet corner to try again with a bit more space and a few less things to hit.

Spooled up for a minute or two the finally went for it. Heli lifted off fairly straight so mechanical set up must be reasonably OK. The only thing was the tail wagging abit so I turned down the gain on the gyro. It was still wagging abit by the end of the second pack but I have knocked another 5% off so hopefully OK next time out..

Really pleased to have got my maiden out of the way TBH and the heli is still in one piece there were a couple of heavy touch downs but nothing broken or unplugged so carried on.

I got about 14 mins hovering about and both Lipo were warm to the touch at the end and the first one has just taken 2600mAh to re-charge so not far off of my approx 80% figure of 2900 for my 3700 packs.

Sorry for rambling on , hope the weathers good tomorrow...

    happy, moi,

    oooohhh yessssss...

Well done, bet that was nerve tingling, i can't believe the concentration required with these things, I guess it just gets better for you from here.
You aren't so far away from me - Newbury is about 16 miles form me.
        What club are you in??
        all the best

No club yet. Still looking around but there is a club in Newbury so might as well start there first. I think it's mainly a plane club though with a small heli section so I'll see what kind of reception I get as another one of 'those' people..

Nice job. Just take it slow and at your own pace no pressure at all
