  • ~Best Hex Tools?~

    Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend the most durable, most long lasting Hex tools?

I've got the Align HZ040 tools from Midland Helicopters.

Though are there any better tools than this?

I've only just bought my Align HZ024 set so can't comment on them just yet.

However my purchase decision was made following research on here and HeliFreak. Finless Bob, who builds just about all the models for videos on that forum also said they were very good and he always uses them. Mind you, he might be Align sponsored.

                  The hudy are too expensive.

Better to buy snap on, these will be of better quality and have a lifetime guarantee.

Are any of these things really that much better than a £5 Wera?

Having searched the Snap-on website when I was looking to buy a few weeks back, I was unable to find any "screwdriver-style" hex drivers.

I bought some of these http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/delu...ded-p-697.html (these are ball-ended, but the picture is of straight-ended).

I've got mixed views of the anodized handles. They're pretty & feel good, but are a bit bulky and heavy. Not exactly 'understated'...

However, the blades are dead good. They're a nice fit in the Outrage G5 bolts, and have never felt lacking in grip. In many cases, the bolt can be held on the end for insertion (without needing a straight-ended blade.)
                          Yes, it's th@ tw@ Scallyb@...

I've had good service from the Ripmax CNC handeled ones and another similiar set of CNC 'cheapies'

At all costs avoid the normal 'L' shaped ones
