  • Im getting better

I managed to hover for more than a minute and I got it on video

Im enjoying the 4#3B alot at the moment and im starting to get the hang of it now.

I have had the heli for just over a week. Ive broken it a couple of times so far but its been easy to repair.

Unfortuately I managed to lose a screw out of the blade holder, I guess it wasnt tight from the factory and it vibrated out.
I didnt crash but it made the heli very hard to control with a screw missing so im going to have to wait a few days before I can get a new one.

Its not a very interesting video but I thought it would post it up for anybody who is thinking of buying a 4#3B

          Im thinking about buying pheonix.

Is it posible to set it up to replicate an indoor enviroment with a small heli?

I am trying to practice flying side on and nose it, but im getting disorientated pretty easily.
I can do it on the free simulator but not in real life, I think thats because the free sim is smoother and there is so much space when compared to my bedroom.

There is a BCX2 to download, but the smallest flying space on the Sim is the Sports Hall, and TBH it doesn't offer much help.

Your better off practicing with something like a Trex 450, then you'll be training for a full CCP machine, and it'll improve your indoor flying no end with your little 4#3b machine

But you will need a TX like the DX6i to use it though, so check out the second hand sales here, you might pick up a bargain so to keep the total cost down.

The DX6 is a perfectly fine TX to train on Phoenix, that's what I used in the early days when I started on Phoenix.

Im trying not to spend too much money at the moment.

Plus I think I will benefit more from pheonix if im using my 4#3B transmitter.

I might buy a propper big heli in the summer if im still enjoying the small one, but I think it will take me a long time to master it completely.

Can you make your own enviroments for pheonix?

                      Just a quick update.

I lost one of the screws that holds the blade holders together. The other one was lose as well so I would recomend all 4#3B owners check that there screws are tight. Flying with a lose bladeholder was "interesting" and made the heli highly unstable.

RCbargains came to the rescue and posted me a new screwset and it only took a couple of days to arrive.

Ive just put it all back together and fitted some new main blades and the heli is transformed its much more stable (for a little heli) It wont quite hover hands off as I cant get the trims right, but its stable enough to scratch my nose without crashing.

I managed to fly an entire battery without any crashes tonight, I even landed on my helipad (an A4 size box) and took off again

I did try a bit of side on hover but im very unsteady so im going to go to midland helicopters and buy pheonix tomorrow. I think im suitably addicted to justify spending another £70
So you can see some spectacular crashes online in pheonix very soon

Ive also ordered 3 more batterys.
Is there any way that I can charge more than one at a time?
I want to do more flying and less charging.
