4 3b for beginner? Or Lama 2

I used to fly nitro's (well try).. now Im all electric

I had a cx2 but it was too noisy and infuriating as it needed constant trim adjustments..I bought a blade mcx and yes it was fun.. and easy to fly, but after 20 batteries flying it was boring....so now I have a Buzzfly se 2.4 and It's hard but a challenge.. I was hoovering within one battery and circuits on the second battery

I flew it today and put two batteries through it.. prior to flyin my two t Rex's 450 V2's and they seem tame now

If you want my opinion get a Walkera 4#3b as it's cheaper than the Buzz fly se.. it's fun and very robust little heli.. the coaxial will be ok for dinner parties and basically showing off in front of your mates.. but it's nothing like a real heli.. so if you wanted to progress to a bigger heli later.. your money would be better spent on the 4#3b

If your really after a Co-ax then i'd look for a walkera 5g6-1. It's same size as the lama 2 but it has real servo's onit rather than the linear ones on the lama2. so if a servo dies you just replace the servo and not the whole board.
I have a 5g6-1 and like others have said it's good for teaching orientation but thats about it. Had mine for around 4 weeks now and i'm getting a little bored and need a heli that's a little more challenging..a co-ax will virtually fly itself.
+1 on the flight sim..helps me a great deal and good fun to boot.

so if you wanna be flying instantly ..go for the little co-ax
if you wanna create skills to fly a bigger fixed pitch or CP later on then get the 4#3b

Phoenix out of your budget range? You're having a laugh mate... I too am in the RAF, so I know what you get paid. Whether you're an LAC or Group Capt buddy, the best investment you can make at the minute is the Phoenix purchase.... I know coz I'm pants at flying, and without Phoenix I'd be even worse, if such a situation exists!!!!!!

There was a copy of pheonix on ebay and it sold for over £60 + postage

So even if you change you mind about the hobby you can ebay pheonix and you wont lose hardly any money on it.
If you look at it that way its cheaper than buying a heli that will be worth sweet fa once you have crashed it a few times

Having said all that, I am learning without pheonix and im getting on ok, but I think im going to buy now as I know I can resell it if I dont use it enough to justify the cost or I need the money back.

I'm a Cpl techie, but with a mortgage, wife and lots of other random hobbies!! I have a copy of Aerofly Deluxe that was handed down to me, so do I really need another sim?

4 3b is on order! Excited but nervous. If rcgajitz ever get round to delivering it
