  • I read the sticky honest...

Hello... completely new to this and almost bought my first today. Still undecided and glad I didn't as I've just seen the same heli at half the price from a post on here.

I've flown a 3ch co-ax left behind by my nephew and loved it but was thinking I might prefer something with one main blade. Understood I'm going to crash but I'd like to think I got used to co-ax pretty quick and have indoor space for something a little more fun.

So dare I ask...which one would you pick if you knew then what you know now?

was thinking a honey bee or a buzzfly but the buzzfly seems expensive now? the best prices i've seen so far and will probably choose from...

unless you could point me somewhere else?

thanks and apologies for my newbness.

Hi and welcome to the best heli forum bar none.
The advice you will get on here will be to put some money towards a good sim first. Phoenix is the flavour of the month.
If you want a heli to throw around then a coax is a good start.
    Something like a blade MCX.
After that do some research, read up on here and understand what your up against and the budgetery requirements for this hobby.
Hopefully by then you will have made your own mind up about where you want to go.

There's loads of buzzfly owners on here, myself included. It's a great learning tool and really crash resistant, so a good way to learn, although strictly indoors only!

Phoenix (or similar) is also a fantastic way to learn, although not quite the same as actually seeing something flying around your lounge

Feel free to ask around on the forum for advice. We are a friendly bunch and don't bite (much)...
