  • How long should the clunk lines be?

    Hi everyone
    Can anyone help
I replaced both clunk lines yesterday with fuel tube as they were looking a bit dodgy. The header tank one looks fine and doesn't get caught up but the main tank looks too short. Is there a dimension for these lines or is it as long as possible without getting caught on the end of the tank?
    It's a Raptor 50 V2.
    Thanks
    Cheers, Lee.

    you got it.

should be about 2mm short of the end of the tank, hold the tank vertically and swing the clunk around by shaking the tank gently. decrease length until it doesnt hit the back of the tank.

too short and it will fold up and get hooked up the front of the tank.

      Thanks Ade.
I've used standard fuel line and the clunk doesn't quite touch the bottom of the tank when the heli is upright as it is quite stiff. I read that fuel line will soften up after a few tank fulls. Am I right in thinking that I just need to land earlier until the clunk line softens up? (to avoid any unexpected autos!)

yes the fuel line will soften up within a couple of flights no need to worry about it. especially if you have a header tank.
