  • Nitro fuel, how does it work?

First of all can I say that this hobby is getting more expensive by the day

Anyway after getting to grips with y honey bee FP over the last couple of weeks I have just ordered my self a Sceadu 30. (SHE dosn't know about it yet)

But I am having a bit of trouble figuring out how the nitro fuel combusts. Does it like I think use the glow plug to ignite? If so would I be right in saying that once the glow plug is hot, (via a battery initially) ignites the fuel then the continued combustion process keeps the plug hot enough to ignite again on the next stroke?

    Hope that makes scene.

Yes that's how it works, compression keep's the plug hot after the first ignite.
    Cheers

What trouble are you having assuming its not starting here. What fuel are you using, what engine is it, hold etc etc....

Give us as much info as possible and we will try to help out. Or a member maybe on your doorstep.
          Cheers

No trouble, just wondering how it actually worked.

I only ordered the heli yesterday so expect more questions soon

Hi there and good move getting a nitro heli. You'll love the Sceadu30 and soon forget the Hb FP. Have you told your other half yet lmao?

                  Good luck!

the lower section (crank case) works exactly the same as the 2 stroke marine engine,
from the carb its draged into the crank, the fuel lubes the bearings in the lower case`s ect, then its drawn up to the piston where the heated plug coil ignites the fuel.
