  • ~help With Computer Tx Pls~

Hi I've just moved up to my first ever programmable tx and I have a Futaba T6EXP(35Mhz) for my trex 450segf.

The problem is that I'm so confused ryt now with the tx..

Because there's so much to program, and it looks all so confusing! I'm finding the menu system hard to understand.

Im thinking getting a spektrum DX6i and was wondering if they're easier to use than this? Is the menu system clearer on the DX6i?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

What are you confused about? There is a lot to learn. Some people like to figure it out themselves and others get somebody to do it for them. Do you have setup info but can't get it in the transmitter?

      Hi Chris,

Thanks for responding to my thread.

      I'm confused with the following:

      1. Setting up the gyro correctly
      2. Throws/expos? What are these??
      3. Swashtype ( theres 1-S, 3-S and 3-E but i don't know which one applies to my model)

I'm just really a bit impatient I guess because I just want to get this sorted so i can start flying the heli.

On top of that the instructions for the tx are not clear and simple to understand.

I don't want to disrespect Futaba, but there setup instructions could be improved.

Personally I would have bypassed the FF6 and gone for the FF7 as its alot easier to understand the menus ... Throws are for setting the amount of servo movement .. It wants to be as close to 100% as you can get it ... Expo which on futaba is a minus amount makes it alot less twitchy around centre stick ... AS for the swash menu ... look in the manual and choose the 120 degrees eccpm option ...

Many thanks Mike, that's eased my frustration a bit now, and shed a bit of light on these matters.

There's info on servos just before your post in the same forum.
