  • How do I.... Hover Inverted!

    Guys,

I have got loops, Barrel rolls (well kind of) about sorted.

So if I can get the heli inverted now what alters on the controls
from the heli being the right way up.

Remeber No Sim to try this out on. So I need an idea whats going to
happen. I can hold a Heli upside down as I found out lucky enough for me
but I would like to have it closer than 150ft away inverted with me having
a bit more control as well!

    any tips/advice welcome

Im nowhere near that stage but I've heard a technique where you go into a loop and then slow up at the top. The pause gets longer and longer until you're hovering inverted. (sounds easy doesn't it )
I might be talking **** but I'm sure someone on here will correct me!

I found there are three things that change, ther elevator is reversed, the rudder is reversed and the heli is much further away than usual . I found that flying inverted at the top of the loop for a bit helped as you just worry about the left and right - just need the courage to get the thing a little closer.

Another thing is to have a get out plan, I was told left stick down and right stick up which is fine for nose or side in, but tail in and it come towards you, but that method will teach you tick tocks without you realising it.

thats one way. another way is to do a forward flip, hold it nose in inverted then flip it back out before it goes too far wrong.

I'm currently learning inverted hovering, but I went for a roll into it, therefore I'm doing tail-in first , it's gradually getting closer and lower, but the control that messes up the brain the most is the tail

Also watch out for wrong sticking when you go back to upright flight, particularly backwards upright, as I've had a couple of close calls wrong sticking the elevator and doing inadvertent tail slides

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?
