  • zoom 400 has too much torque

I have just finshed my first heli - a zoom 400. However, it seems to have too much torque in the main rotor as it just spins, no matter how much right rudder I give it. I have check servos and gyro and they are all as per manual.

    Any ideas?

the gyro sense is probably reversed. what gyro do you have?

      zoom 400

Ade, Thanks for comment. It is german - piezo gyro PK3 #75501. It seems identical to the Maxx PG 2033. I have tried turning it upside down but same problem. The vendor seems stumped too.

If it's belt drive, Is the belt the right way round driving the tail blades in the correct direction?

          Sao,

Thanks for your help. It is a shaft drive. The rotor is going in the right direction.

headspeed could be too low. You really need to get these things singing to get the tail to work reasonably.
