  • A club near Petersfield I can join to learn to fly my Trex??

    Hello lads.
I just moved to Petersfield (Hampshire) and I dont know my way around very well. I came here from Australia. I bought a T-rex and its all set up ready to go. Its a 450xl ccpm and im running a hitec optic 6, Futaba GY 401, Futaba 9650 on the tail, 3 hitec hs56 on the cyclics, a schulze alpha 8ch reciever, standard kit supplied brushless motor and speedy. Im running an align 1900 li-po. I can fly helis ok on the simulator (fms) and I can hover my t-rex ok in the back yard, but I always smash it Id really like to join a club (indoor or outdoor) and get taught to fly it properly, so if anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. I have transport and am prepared to travel quite far if needs be. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies. Cheers fellas!

    Hi,

You need to check out the BMFA website for its clubs list.

    Check out:

    http://www.bmfa.org/clubs/clist.php

This will find you a local Club always try 2-3 ask if they
have Heli flyers. Even if a club is 15miles further away a
few good Heli Flyers makes it worth it.

I'm down the road near Midhurst and fly at Alton, the field is not nearly as far as Alton though, friendly club and an excellent site - about 25 mins from you I expect. Couple of Trex guys there and no shortage of help if needed.

Thanks Guys. I sent an e-mail to Andy from the Alton club and I hope to hear from him shortly. I couldnt find an address for the club, or any details of when heli flyers meet. Ill let you know how it goes, but im still open to any more suggestions. Thanks again.

Hey Thomas, what time do you go down to the Alton club during the week? I finish work at 5:00 every week day, and I work some evenings but I might still be able to make it one afternoon??? Worst case scenario, ill be "sick" one day and have the day off work..........
