  • T-REX 500 - Maiden Flight - Whoop Whoop

    Hi all

I was on a couple of months ago trying to get my t-rex 500 sorted out. I actually managed to get it airbourne in the garden but knew that it was really not set up right.

Off I popped to midland helicopters and they got it all sorted for me. Sunday was the first day i'd had chance to go out and fly (to be honest, I think its the first time I plucked up enough courage after breaking my last heli on its first flight).

So, after a good while of flying the trex on realflight I headed out to the local park. To be honest, I couldn't quite believe what happened next. I added throttle, she took off and she was flying... I was flying!! It really was like being on realflight again (although my heart was in my mouth and i was trembling a lot more than on realflight!!!). I've had two flights now and thanks to realflight i'm already hovering nose out, nose in, nose right and nose left. All that and on my first 2 flights! If i hadn't been using the sim, it would more than likely have ended up in lots of little pieces! haha

can't wait for the weekend now to fly again.

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice and helped me out. No doubt I will be on again in the future with more issues and also to give my advice where i can.

    Regards
    Mike

Kinda like sex for the first time don't you think. Don't know many other hobbies that do that to ya.

        I wanted a fag & haven't smoked for over 8 years....

        Enjoy.

Let me see. Legs shaking before you start. Hands trembling during the event. Gut clenching, arse tightening in case it goes wrong. Satisfied & releaved after the event. Looking around to see whos seen your achievement with a big grin on your face.

              Does that sound familier........

You've certainly done well, and thats a testiment indeed to all the people who are not sure if a sim is worth the money.

Yeah, on the sim the blades don't chew you up if you get too close.

                Great stuff
