I have both the blade and the 450 .................the blade I bought first as the radio was worth the price ............the 450 I bought after because it was the 450 must have ....
I flew the 400 to death .............average £30 per crash on parts ..............parts identical with the twister if I emptied my local model shop .........The T- rex flew like it looked ........very classy .................but guess what ..............I flew the blade more .........just something about it i loved ...threw it about .....crashed it .......learn't to build it .....still do even though I fly nito's now ........and something else ............I fly all my helis off the DX6i that came with the blade .............the 450 however ............when I pranged it it cost around £70 a hit .............big outlay considering I pay around £ 80 a hit with the rappy 50 .......
Cost is the factor .......performance is about the same other than the 450 feeling more stable ......my advice is the 400

Thanks, Dazz. That's a very good argument for the Blade. I must admit, the DX6 attracted me, but after what you've said, I'm even keener.
So I went for it and bought Phoenix and the Blade 400 yesterday. Just been practicing. Is it me or is it really easy to fly 3D but a nightmare to land?
One other question should there be a plug with the Blade as I'm not able to charge the battery?
Regarding the charger. You can use a car battery if you like but I found that to be really annoying so I went into town and picked up a 13.8V 5amp bench PSU like this one http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=231
