  • newbe can i have some advise

    hi all,
iv had a ef mash helicopter for a nearly a year and love flying it.iv fancied up grading to a bigger helicpoter for a while and yesturday i bought a mini pred only to come home and find that people online dont rate it that high and it has bad radio gear built in ect ect.
now im wondering do i keep it or do i take it back and save my money and get a different model?
if i do keep it can i use the radio gear supplied or do i get better stuff?

    thanks in advance

    Jon

I learnt with a mini pred and TBH it was not that bad a heli to fly once it was set up right ... In all fairness I already had a FF7 so the radio was no good to me but i have seen people fly them on the stock radio with no problems .. Like most things RTF theres always as weak link as they build em to a budget ... normally the electronics ...If I was to start again I think I would have gone with a base model trex and put my own electronics in it ...

        Hi Jon,
Welcome (nice to see someone closer), you have come to the right place for advice and help. I,m new myself but have already learnt that buying the best you can is the way to go.Leave it to those who are better qualified to advise you, just wanted to say Hi.

I learnt on one but it is not the best heli in the world, suffers from glitches terrible on the radio and does start to fall apart after a while. throw some more money in and buy a blade 400, much better choice

The setup is very much 50 50.

While the heli has to be mechanically sound, i.e. level swash plate, the configuration within the radio can make the biggest difference.

I have a Spektrum DX6 with charger and receiver for sale if your on a budget. I would take £80+del if your interested.

                      Yep -good decision.
When you get it though, make sure you follow Boggy's sticky post and tame it down a bit - they're much more difficult than the contras!!!
