  • 2nd hand MCX ?

    Afternoon all,

Would anyone bother buying a 2nd hand MCX, supposidly only flown a dozen times and never crashed, or would you just buy new??

I have a chance of a used MCX that comes with 2 flight batteries and also the upgraded LP5DMS 5 Channel TX instead of the standard TX.

Do you think the upgraded TX is worth it as the package is for sale at £85 which is basically the same price as a new, standard MCX.

    B&F MCX is about £60
    LP5DMS is about £40
    spare flight batt £10.

    so that's £110 new as oppose to £85 s/h....

    any input appreciated..

    thanks

I don't know if its worthwhile to be honest. I don't see any advantage in the different Tx really. Its an indoor heli, so the stock one would be just as good. Batteries are only about £5, or they were when I got mine anyway! I think I would probably go for new to be honest.

two advantage's would be that you can use that tx with phoenix flight sim. and in the near future a bind and fly cx3 is coming. if the mcx is only a month old it should be ok. mine must have at least 150 flights and is still going strong

I did wonder about the compatabiliy of the LP5 with Phoenix as my current FMS handset is not apparently.

        cheers

Wasn't aware of the BNF CX3, and didn't think of using it on Phoenix!!

NP mate. I think that fact alone will make it worth while over the standard TX.
