Hi, got myself an FMS (I know ) just to get my head round the controls etc. and it occured to me last night, whilst crashing for the hundredth time, that I don't know if the controls are actually set up right, so that is my question. Can anyone confirm the normal config of a 'mode 2' controller.

I have the following on my FMS :

    Left stick..
forward / back : throttle, altitude..
left / right : nose left / nose right (rudder control ?)

    Right stick..
forward / back : nose down / nose up.
left / right : roll left / roll right.

I know it's a real basic question but I remember a post a couple of weeks ago were a guy had it the wrong way on his SIM and then had problems when flying his first real heli. Just want to make sure i am starting right, it's hard enough without learning it wrong in the first place..

Hopefully a couple of weeks on the FMS and I'll be able to fly the mCX I will be getting in Feb.

    thanks in advance

EDIT : one more thing, would I be able to use the USB handset I got with my FMS for other SIM software like Phoenix or Real Flight ?

You should be able to use it with HeliSimRC, which while not great, is vastly better than FMS.
