  • oh bugger

well after having loads of sim time on fms i felt a bit confident today and took dorothy out for a spin

i was doing quite well, cant hover but was doing well i was flying and loving it, until it decided to keep going higher and higher which made control a bit of a bugger, good news i brought it down pretty well, only damage was on the blades which was fixed by cellotape and the stick thingy next to the tail rotor (plastic holder broke)

still it was brill just wished i got it on film

Nice one mate, but I wouldn't rely on tape for those blades if I was you. Do yourself a favour and replace them, if they were to come apart in mid air you may well end up seriously regretting it.

Anyway, glad you had fun though.

As John said really. Don't fly with tape holding your blades together as the cost of reparing the heli after it hits the deck from them falling apart will be far more expensive.

Well done on getting it down.

And, before anyone else can say it, consider investing in a better sim than FMS.

Phoenix is the hot fave round here - just got mine, waiting for the adaptor for my Tx.

        Keep flying
