  • Mini Pred

    Hi All,
Could anybody help with the setup of my mini pred? I have just got it and it is set up for 3D flight which is a bit scary for a novice like me! The switch that determines "normal or 3D" won't allow the heli to lift in the normal position. Works fine in 3D.
It has the upgraded headset, swash plate and tail rotor.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

I'd suggest disconnecting motor wires then in normal mode you should have mid throttle stick zero pitch, then move stick up & check if your getting plus pitch on main blades.
Check that & come back to us.
Today's outlook is fine for flying.

Right, got it up in the air but it is all over the place! I've tried trimming but still drifting back and to the left (7pm). Its a big jump up for me because I'm used to a blade CX2.
Does anybody have or know where I can get a manual? I've tried CenturyUK but the heli isn't listed in manual downloads for some reason!

I don't know how much the manual will help but below are links to the Falcon 3d manual, and an update for it. I believe the Falcon 3d is exactly the same heli as the mini-pred.

If you have nearby model shop they should be able to check it, most dont even charge as its a hobby to them.

They do charge up in Leeds!
I think the bloke I bought it from has altered one of the servo arms. I put it back a notch and it is a bit steadier. Now the gyro isn't giving any output to the tail pitch servo so all I get is a spinning heli..! Is it okay to bypass the gyro for hovering just to check everything else is working fine?
