charger

When i first started flying i started with a Twister Coastguard RTF, i still fly it alot now as my bee is down but anyhoo, i recently bought some rechargable batteries after noticing a charging port on both my Tx, now should i be able to charge my Twister Tx with the charger that came with it? it's a 240v 3 pin as normal then goes into a round jack (like a massive version of a Nokia charger) that goes into a box for charging my li-po, but when i plug it into the Tx there is no indication its charging as no lights and cant turn it on etc, anyone have any similar experience or know for definate if it works or not?
If not anyone know where i can get the charger as i looked on J-Perkins site and only chargers on there are for the li-po.

You are aware that different chargers will supply different voltages and amperages? Just coz a plug fits does NOT mean it will automatically supply the correct current/voltage.

Classic example was my mum used my marine radio charger (12V) to try to charge her Nokia (3.7v) and promptly blew the phone. Socket was the same size.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you need to do a little research into what voltage requirements you require before you either have an accident or damage something beyond repair.

I understand what your saying lol the charger actually came in the box with my heli and Tx in a complete RTF kit

I'm not familiar with your particular kit, but would guess that if the Tx didn't come with a rechargeable battery pack, the Rx charger won't work.

Have a look at the socket on the Tx (or check the manual). It might well be stamped into the plastic re voltage/polarity requirements.

i just had a thought, my Rx is 7.2v Li-Po and the Tx is 12v hence the 8 batteries so it wouldnt work anyway, now if i can just find that bloody multi voltage plug
