im trying to keep my hover to about 5ft off the ground and like you say if it goes pete tong then im tail.

As a fellow Newbie, just want to say, keep trying. I had nose in as I thought nailed 2 days ago. Tried yesterday, and nearly bent my heli!
Keep going, mate everybody on here is so behind us newbies.

you will find everybody has a favorite position for just about everything, same reason were mostly either left or right handed.
It can be overcome but it just takes more practice to get used to the things were not comfortable with. for me its comming in left to right I feel less comfortable than comming in right to left. as the moment I can do left hand reverse circuits easily the right hand ones I struggle with. my tip would be little and often, as has been said dont stick with any one thing for too long.All the best

Well, I thought I was doing great today. Actually circuits of the room.
Absolutely marvelous till I piled it in
Now have 2 bent shafts and a knackered bearing.
