  • Blade tracking

    Hi Folks

I have finished setting up my heli with the help of raptor technique. All I have left to do is check the blades are tracking correctly, then it is off to the local club.

Should I start the heli and checking the tracking myself or should I get the rest of the heli checked over first and get someone else to start it first time.

Also what are peoples thoughts on breaking the engine in, is it better to do it whilst learning to hover or just let it run through a couple of tanks of fuel on the ground?

    Thanks
    Jim

dont fire it up until its been checked over. if you checked the link lengths with a vernier it will track spot on.

      Hi,
I'm a beginner and found it best to join the local club. They can show you how to set it up and check it can fly in the first place !
I would have ended up trying to fly something that couldn't !
At least you'll know how to do things from the start and continue from there.....
Good luck, I hovered for the first time 2 weeks ago and really enjoying it !
      Cheers Rob
