  • pcm9x mk2 heading lock problems!!!!

    Ok Chaps

bit of help needed, Ive just upgraded to a JR pcm9x mk2 from a jr X378 My raptor flew fine on the 378 but now on this new tx i just cant get heading hold to work properly  , been through the instructions several times and played about but it dosent want to know on the old tx hhold was operated on the Gear switch! is this the same on the pcm9x? Im using a csm icg540 gyro

    any help greatly appreciated!

ps any suggestions on the first circuit ? I practicing very large lazy 8s but just cant seem to get it in to a circuit more pshcological i think? lol

On the 9x it's the flap switch and Aux2 on the RX, mine is set to Auto and then you have the 3 position options there.
    Clones are bad

    .... that includes Align ones

there are a couple of ways of setting up the gyro on the 9x2

plug the gyro sense into aux2.

go to the gyro sense screen it will probably be inhibbited at the moment.

if you set it to rudder D/R switch and set 2 values

or you can set it to "auto" which gives you the option of setting a different gain for each flight mode.

personally, what i do is use auto mode and set all flight modes to use position 0, set one value and its done, no switch to get in the wrong place and keeps the rudd DR switch free for rudder dual rate or throttle hold. i dont like where they put throttle hold switch as standard.

you might want to use rudd DR mode for ease of getting into setup and doing CSMs quick trim.

remember that 50% is centre so on a CSM 50% gain in hh and normal would be 25 and 75 on the 9x screen. Cant remember which way round that is.
