  • Better Skids

Hi, I am still trying to get to grips with the Honeybee I bought two weeks ago, have had several short flights and minimal damage so far. 2 fly bars and now the skids have copped it.

    My question is....

I have seen some uprated metal skids on the web somewhere. does anyone know where you can get better more durable skids for the HoneyBee.

i doubt the micro helis could cope with the extra weight. training gear will help sofen the langings until you have the knack though

          Hi
I was doing much the same thing. I bought a cheap Honey Bee (85) off E-bay and spent about 75 on bits 8O (it soon adds up).
However, I can now happily hover tail in and am working on side on hovering now. Strange thing is that I was fairly rubbish and then, over the course of only a few flights, it clicked into place and I could hover.
Buying a sim (reflex) really helped for me. FMS is available free on the internet as well if you can't stretch to Reflex or G3.
Having said all that, I'm just about to fit a new tail motor as the original stopped working. I suspect the main motor is not far behind!
I guess I'm trying to say, as frustrating as it is now - don't give up just yet.
          Good luck!

            Hi cbrblade

I bought an upgrade from helidirect

            http://www.helidirect.com/product_in...roducts_id=847

that worked really well when I was learning.
