Well i finally managed to get outside in the car park at work and intially it went ok. The increased space allowed me the room to be able to hover the get the blade up maybe 2 feet although i spent the entire 30 seconds chasing it around in an attempt to hover. Eventually after a few hurried landings i managed to break a tail rotor blade and blade grip. Not entirely sure what happened but i think i must have landed (dropped) not level so allowing the tail blades to strike the ground. New parts ordered and due monday so will try to have another go next friday (the only time i get daylight outside of work hours).
Im sure it will be the first of many but i think all considered i got away very lightly.
