  • New Heli suggestion.

I have got a spyhawk (similar to hummingbird) and its probably now beyond repair (broken chasis plus accelorator probs). I am looking to by a new heli but i want one less fiddly and one i can get parts in the UK. I want something simple to fly as everyone knows these small electric helis can be award. I would prefer electric power but gas powered will do (I do not even know what fuel they run on) Im looking for suggestions on to which helicopter to get, my budget is around 200 - 300. Any suggestions greatfully recieved.

    Cheers

    Mike

i know of a second hand trex for sale. 250uk[ with 2 batteries. Its got a cheap gyro but works ok.

the only problem is you are going to need to buy a transmitter capable of flying a "proper" helicopter. The futaba 7c is about 130ukp.

        Hi
Becareful of eBay and the BMFA website seen a few so called
good deals. You might get a Bargin but more likly to get a problem
        Heli.

Ade's Trex is a good buy if theres a charger thrown in. Trex can fly
outside (well as long as its not to breezey) or indoors.

Like Ade says get a Futaba 7c though you'll need it sooner or later.

I've just aquired a Trex SE, so my X400 is up for grabs.

As Disc says, if you go electric, you'll need a charger. However, if you go glow, then you're going to have to get all the field equipment as well. This could set you back another 100.

You can get some good deals on Ebay and the BMFA classifieds, but if it looks too good a deal, then it's probably suspect.
