    A simple question; what is the reason for having a flybar?

    I believe the flybar slows down/dampens the cyclic response, which would otherwise be to fast.

      Like he says ^^^

      Model helicopters are inherently unstable due to their size and power-to-weight ratio and other stuff. The flybar and paddles smooth the whole shebang out. This is why if you want to make your heli more responsive then a good first step is to lighten the paddles.
