how good is the fms software to use with regard to teaching myself to fly helis? I have got it and have finaly got a cable for controller and it seems easier on that than flying the real thing

is it just me cos i still crash but not as badly on the sim lol

    regards

FMS will help you to understand stick movements, but not much more to be fair as it's really not very realistic.

For a more realistic flying experience on a simulator, buy Phoenix or Realflight G4 - my preference is Phoenix.

fms is far to easy mate, it will get you a grasp of the main controls but thats about it. Unfortunately it isnt a very good simulator. Phoenix RC is the one most use around here.

I started with fms but i found i could get it into a solid hover without putting any stick in very very easily. still fun to do 3d on.

I would still use it until you can upgrade. It is too easy to fly, but is still good for learning the sticks so you will be a better pilot by the time you do get another sim.
