No, thanks, mate. I'll pass on that. Seriously, from what I've read on here, and my own (limited) experience, I'd definitely go for a co-ax, and unless you live in a mansion, the mCX looks best. I know what you mean about money, tho. I'd love to get the phoenix SIM, but it'll have to wait a bit.

LOL, I live in the tiniest flat ever, @ 14inches my Apache is just too big, even if I could get it to work without striping gears etc!

Yep, I live in a hotel, and we are closed at the moment, so I've moved ALL the tables & chairs to one end, which just about gives me enough room for the Dauphin.

          Hi Bazza.
Have you tried TJD Models the other side of the river. They are not too far from Bluewater.
We bought a CX2 and a MCX there just after Christmas which was all kicked off by the kids getting the 10 pound micro heli's as presents.
Mine is the CX2, and currently being rebuilt after an incident with a tree but the MCX is brilliant and working a treat.
That belongs to my 10 year old and he is now getting it to land on the beer mat he has stuck to his bed post ;( (cocky sod)

I had the same problem as you. Annoyed with the lack of space indoors, knew better and took it over the park, got carried away and launched into said tree by a gust of wind...

Again as yourself I usually race cars; although the 1/10th electric touring car type.
This flying lark isn't proving to be the cheap sideline I was hoping it would be though

          Practice , Practice , Practise......

            Hi Shaun,

Yeah I know TJD's & Adam etc...out of curiousity...how much are they doing the MCX for? RTF that is.

I'm scared of shredding my leather sofa with my rotor blades with the Apache, lol, already bashed it, the TV, allsorts, hehe, room is not on my side here, my living room is prob 3m square at the very most (being genorous).

I'd like a heli for the bad weather when I can't enter races etc and the long winter night, oh and to annoy the misses, hover above her head

Kids do seem to pick things up quickly!

            Thanks man!

The MCX cost us 79.99 and due to it's size was hard to convince the wife it was worth the money.
After all we had paid only a tenner for the heli that kept disappearing down the back off the sofa all of Christmas day.

Fortunately she has now seen the light

I would recommend an extra battery or two though.

Brilliant! somebody bought me a 2-channel job for £25, rotors about a metre diameter. Totally unfliabe. The boss (wife) wants to know why my Esky cost nearly £80, but is less than half the size!

Hehe, cheers guys, the guvnor saw the MCX and said that'll be ideal to fly indoors, got to love her eh

I've pm'd Adam from TJD's via Maxbashing, awaiting a reply and to see if I can get a discount from him? lol, if you don't ask you don't get!

I was going to get 3 batteries when I finally have the extra dough to buy one and maybe a set of blades or two.
