Hi all heli enthusiasts, newbie here from London, and new to the hobby. After seeing the film National Treasure 2: Book Of Secrets(with the scene with the helicopter) I thought "WOW! I gotta try that!"

Ever since then I'm hooked on RC Helicopters. Been flying since last July 2008 + many crashes lol

I prefer the Electric helis as they're bit more quieter & cleaner than the Nitro helis, others may differ, that's just my preference ( at the moment )

My current fleet of helis is:

    1. Align TREX 450SE GF ( Brand new built from kit by myself )
    2. Walkera 1#B 2.4Ghz ( Practise Heli )
    3. Eflite Blade MCX ( RTF Version )
    4. Picoo Z MD500 Hughes ( First ever heli I flew )

    My current Heli Skills:

    - Comfortable with Tail-In hovering
    - Side to side hovering
    - Hovering 20ft in the air
    - Safe & smooth landings
    - Building a heli from a kit (that was my TREX 450SEGF)
    - Repairing & setting up my helis

I have a youtube account where I've posted some vids of my heli hobby:

    Regards,

Hi, sorry to jump on your thread Xige ~ I'm real new!

I just bought my 1st heli...a Carson Apache 4ch, bought second hand (unwanted crimbo pressie) anyway it wouldn't take off straight (I now know this may be the swash plate and the trims) - it took off to about 3 metres and then kept going sideways, I managed to correct it and then it flew straight into a wall.

Now one of the motor pinions is not touching the cog/crown gear! ~ The bottom blade is fine and turns the crown but the top rotor doesn't...any idea's? I have tried to move the pinion but it will not budge and is at the bottom of the pin it sits on.

Hope this makes some sense and that you guys can help?

Soory again Xige, didn't see the point in two threads with the same title

                    Anyone help?

batts are now re-charged and ready to go, I may take it to a model shop a few miles away to see if they can help but would rather fix it myself.

I've only got this heli off the ground about 5 times, hardly used it and dying to get it up in the air just hovering (delivered today)
