LOL - when you find out what you need to do, please do a write up so that the rest of us noobs know too...

I am planning on buying the phoenix sim when it comes out, and I expect I will be in the same boat...

    Sorry I can't help

    Daniel.
Just how many hours stick-twiddling do you have to put in before you can justify buying the Breitling ?

setting up reflex isnt hard, just a bit strange if you arent used to the terminology.

you have to calibrate the transmitter throw directions to the software because different transmitters work in different directions and have different channel assignements.

that is why its asking you to move the sticks in different directions.

I have the reflex sim, and I am quite good at taking off, landing has been a bit more of a problem, always manage to do it, but not always the right way up!!!.
The graphics are fantastic, but i do sometimes get a problem where the graphics slow down to a stage where the PC locks up, all I can do is re-boot the machine, and usually all is ok, anybody got any ideas :?: :?:
That said, I feel I am improving Very SLOWLY, but at least its cheaper than crashing for real..
Anybody got any useful tips, I would appreciate any help.

Kwickkwack have you tried dropping the resolution and playing it at 16bit colours? Sounds like your system or graphics card cant handle it. What spec system you got? I run a 64bit athlon 3800+ dual core with a 256mb nvidia 6800 ultra card and 2gb ddr 400, it runs smooth as hell in any resolution. I ran it on an athlon xp2200+ with 768mb ddr 266 and a nvidia geforce 128mb ti 4400 and it also ran fine on the simple sceneries. Put it on any scenery that was detailed and it slowed down like hell and even rebooted on me once. I decided to run it on 1026 x 768 16 bit resolution and it ran loads better. It seemed that the card couldnt handle the 32bit mode even know by the book it should have.

                  Hi Made2Fade
I am running on a dell laptop, with 516mb Ram ATI graphics card and Pentium M processor, since i last posted, i downloaded an updated driver from the web, works pretty much OK all the time now.
I am trying to learn with the Raptor 30, and have made one or two my mods to the setup, as my helis are set up for me as a beginner, in particular very little -ve pitch, its good to have a bit of fun now and then, but my aim is to learn, anybody with some good set-up tips they could send me would be gratfully received, you can e-mail me on rbra461001@aol.com
                  Cheers
