  • rcscale.co.uk Any Good?

Hello all! Hope you all had a good Christmas!

Basically I'm a complete newbie to rc helis. I used to do a bit of rc car racing in my younger days but this hardly compares.

What I'm after is a small heli just to cruise around the house to get the basics. After reading various threads on here and various reviews across the net I've started looking at the Walkera 4#3.

The cheapest place I've found so far is:
    Walkera 4#3 - £52.89
    Walkera 4#3b - 64.68

This does seem cheap compared to most others sites I've found so I'm wondering how reliable they are and if anyone here has used them?

    Thanks!

Wait until you checkout and find out what their delivery charges are, think you may find they are very high. This company has goods sent from asia no stock held in the UK despite the uk web address.

hi mate welcome to the forum, if you looking for the best place for the 4#3b then try http://www.chinesejade.com/walkera.htm but have a look at the blade mcx as this is a lot more stable and a very good indoor heli

Cheers fellas. You were pretty bang on! I wasn't aware of the 'no UK stock' so postage is £18.30? LOL.

Thanks for the heads up about the blade mcx - ill look into it!

Yep - I would start with the mCX for whizzing round the house... great fun and a good confidence builder... They seem to have the spares problems sorted now as a few places have them...

For a little more money you could get a Blade CX2 - a bit bigger - a bit more difficult to fly... it also comes with a transmitter that will work with a simulator (Phoenix) which is highly recommended by most if you want to progress...

            All the best

What seems to be the general problem with the Walkera?

theres no problem with the walkera but for a starter heli its a bit twitchy for a learner it takes a bit of getting used to
